Continued Health Care Benefit Program (CHCBP) Rates for 2021

Current rates for CHCBP effective October 1, 2020 through 2021 are

  • $1,599 per quarter (single rate)
  • $3,605 per quarter (family rate)

This increase barely marks one year since the last health care increase. Humana Military Health Care Services appears to now be raising rates effective 1 October on an annual basis.

Participating former military spouses should be prepared for this upcoming quarterly expense.

From Humana Military Health Care Services:
“Billings will not be prorated. Those enrolled in CHCBP prior to October 1 will pay at the old rate until the first quarterly bill due , on or after, October 1. Those enrolled in CHCBP on, or after, October 1 will pay the new rate.”

Former military spouses should plan for a CHCBP increase on a yearly basis. Current military spouses negotiating divorces might look for compensation for medical coverage as described in the book Military Divorce Tips.
